To quickly and accurately store hose assembly data in the field an RFID (radio frequency product identification) system is now available from Gates. Using this technology, hose assembly information can easily be accessed via personnel are able to retrieve the data using radio waves. The information can then be read onsite or synchronised with a database stored on a PC.
When a hose assembly needs to be repaired or replaced, service personnel can scan the tag to gather the information required. This is then compared with the hose database and the proper assembly can be easily fabricated or ordered. The RFID system helps mobile equipment operators and fleet managers minimise downtime and maximise equipment usage, productivity and revenues.

Gates Safe Hydraulics Training
In partnership with Gates, Kiowa Ltd can provide you with expert information onsafety issues that affect hydraulic hose assemblies through the Gates Safe Hydraulics and line side training program. Kiowa Ltd has the facilities to hold training sessions for your staff onsite or we can arrange training facilities at a location convenient to you.
Gates HDMS System
The Gates HDMS is an early warning system which informs the operator of hose problems and potential failures as well as estimating the remaining hose life of the hoses in use. If a warning message is shown, the hose assembly can be changed quickly before a breakdown occurs.
