New_Building_ProgressWith the new storage facility built, we began implementing the interior floor-plan. We cleared back the current stock and rehoused it in the new and larger purpose built storage block; took apart the racking in the original facility to make way for a bigger, large bore hose assembly working area. Whilst we perceive these changes to be important for Kiowa’s customers, we also wanted to ensure that our current operations ran as normal as we implemented the modifications. Consequently, our operational and warehouse staff worked to guarantee that we didn’t let customers down, but also ensured a quick restructure so the units were ready to use.

The new space will enable us to produce many more, large bore hoses. Our highly trained hose assembly team use the Finn Power FP170, which is one of the largest and most powerful swaging machines available to the industry. The production facility can handle and swage hoses from ¼” through to 12″ bore by applying forces of up to 600 tonnes. This capacity and our ability to move, handle and store large volumes of hose ensures that we can handle the largest of hose contracts.

The demand for this service has been exceptional and therefore we are really looking forward to being able to advance this facility from the second half of 2012.

We’d like to thank TRP Sleaford http://www.trp.uk.com for the use of their Merlo Panoramic P55. 9CS to move our swaging machine – we couldn’t have done it without them – thanks guys!
